These rankings have been established after the 309 games played so far (72
games for the French Elite 1 championship, 12 for the Irish Championship, 70
for the Scotch-Welsh Championship, 52 for the English Championship, 47 for
the European Cup and 56 for the European Shield.

expectedly ahead of the rankings after their victory 23-5 against Colomiers.
Wood's teammates have a 10/10 record so far ! Behind follows Toulouse with
their good European results. Few changes actually occured in the first 10
positions : Agen take the third place to Pau thanks to their brilliant 28-13
victory in Brive. The rankings remain unchanged up to position 9.
There now lies Cardiff who looses 1 rank, from 9th to 10th position, while
Northampton, with a wide victory in Edimbough, climbs from 14th position to
9th. The victim is poor Pontypridd, slipping off the Top Ten after a home
defeat against Saracens.
Ulster, the defending European Champions, are only 37th. Let's notice that
Munster has been caught by Toulouse as the best scorer, both displaying an
average of 36 points scored per game. This is all the more noticeable than
both are competing in the big European Cup, with big competitors. Biarritz,
13th but only competing for the European Shield, undergoes only 13 points per
game.
